Stan Esson is an award winning artist who exhibited his artwork throughout the United States. He passed away on November 24, 2014. He was a brilliant artist, wonderful father, World War II veteran, and a gentleman. Stan's specialty was painting people's portraits. He captured their personalities skillfully using acrylics/alkyds or oil pastels. He loved to use color and expressed his creativity and joy of painting with his varied palette. Some of his portraits balanced on the edge of abstraction. Continuous exploration of styles and experimentation of media was his goal. He loved to learn new techniques and media.
